Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett has welcomed the G7’s stance on the attack on the Mercer Street ship near Oman waters and called for action against Iran.
Speaking at an Israeli cabinet meeting on Sunday, Mr Bennett expressed satisfaction with the outcome of the US military investigation into the attack, including the discovery of parts allegedly belonging to Iranian drones.
“The test today is in action, not in issuing a statement,” Mr Bennett said. ”
The G7 foreign ministers issued a statement on Friday accusing Iran of launching a drone strike on a Mercer Street ship run by an Israeli billionaire.
