Joe Biden has held a moment of silence for the lives lost in the attack at Kabul airport.
“We will not forgive, we will not forget. We will hunt you down and make you pay,” he said during a televised live conference.
Mr Biden’s comments came after at least 60 people were killed in suicide bombings outside Kabul’s Hamid Karzai International Airport (HKIA) on Friday.
The Pentagon confirmed at least 12 US troops were killed when two suicide bombers attacked crowds of Afghans flocking to HKIA after the Taliban once again seized power in the nation.
Islamic State claimed responsibility for the attack.
